Have you ever watched a fish swimming around a fish tank? Does it know it’s in that fish tank? Does it know it’s in water? No, it just is. It’s interesting, because what we’re here to do is the thing that we do so naturally, that it’s difficult to see, because it’s who we ARE.
And for those of us who are here to share a message and do what we’re here to do, sometimes we try to figure it out from our heads and identify it. Instead, I ask people to reflect on their own life, their own self. What are their experiences in life where they have felt like they are just “in their bliss”? It’s this peak moment, this moment of joy, where you are living in ease and grace and you can feel the sense of “Man, I was born for this.”
Whoever you may be talking to…. whether it is a friend, colleague, client, or child….they are getting exactly what they need for THEIR journey from you. That’s the sweet spot where you are meant to be. Doing your soul’s work is not supposed to feel difficult. It doesn’t need to be figured out.
It needs to be investigated and really looked at, because when we look in the mirror, it’s difficult to see who is actually really looking back. Right? When we are doing what we were born to do, it’s so easy, joyous, and effortless that it is hard to believe that THAT IS what you’re here to do.
I can’t help but think of one particular client. They were just on their knees with gratitude for the massive transformation that they’ve experienced through my coaching. And for me, it didn’t feel like I did any “work.” I show up, listen, ask the right questions, and help bring them back to center. I help them remember who they truly are underneath all the mind chatter and the doubt. That’s as easy as breathing for me. And that’s the very thing they need the most.
The same is true for you. Look for places where what you do and who you “be” is easy. Look for where it’s effortless. Look for the times when people thank you and you say, “I didn’t do anything. It was easy!” THAT is where your truest work lies. THAT is where purpose lies.
So, ask yourself: “What do I love doing?” What do you enjoy doing that is natural and easy? I’m not referring to things like soaking in a bath or getting a massage (though they are both fabulous).
Rather, reflect on what you love to do that helps others. That is what you were put here to do. Your message will resound so loud in the universe when it is sincere and from the heart; the realization of what you are here for and what you are meant to do will reach out to so many other people. The reverberations will be felt by one person who will impact another and another and soon your gift will have made a difference in countless lives.
